| 説明 | Old bell—marked ‘Sagada A.D. 1921’—on display on the grounds of the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin which was established by American missionaries in 1904 and consecrated in 1921. Sagada (pronounced ‘suh-GAH-duh’) is a predominantly Protestant community.Because of the remoteness of Sagada, the indigenous Igorots experienced little Spanish influence until 1882 when a Spanish Mission was founded here. The United States acquired the Philippines after winning the Spanish-American War in 1898 and then granted independence in 1946.On Google Earth:bell 17° 5'3.77"N, 120°54'6.96"E |
