| 説明 | This window is in the garret of the Farnsworth House. This is the window from which Confederate sharp-shooters shot at the Union line during the three day battle. We were told by staff that when one soldier would get shot, he'd be dragged away from the window to the other side of the attic so that another guy could take his place. When the battle was over and the man of the house came to check out the damage (he'd hid in the cellar during the battle) he found six dead Confederate soldiers in the attic and the floor was thick with congealed blood. I was actually really bummed out when I found out about that as I'd slept under that floor for one night and had another night to go. No, I didn't sleep well after that.
