| 説明 | The Kaiserdom (Emperor's Cathedral) is not a cathedral now. This romanesque building was originally the church for an abbey founded by Emperor Lothar III in 1135. The church was completed in 1170 by Heinrich der Löwe (Henry the Lion), Duke of Braunschweig, and for many years Duke of Saxony and Duke of Bavaria. Lothar III was buried in Königslutter. Königslutter is not far from Heidwinkel, one of the two places where I was stationed in the Army. |
