| 説明 | Seventy ORT students from the Bedouin villages of Um Batin, Abu Tlul, Abu Krinat , El Hawashallah and Bir Hadaj gathered for their Access Spring Camp. The day began with Hoida Abu Kaf, an Access graduate from Um Batin who is currently studying at Ben Gurion University. She reflected on her experience in the Access program and how it groomed her to become the woman she is today! The day was full of fun, expressive, and creative activities conducted in English and included a variety of workshops: breakdancing, storytelling, juggling, modern dance, games such as 'Who wants to be a millionaire,' public speaking, and artwork. Embassy speaker Jacqueline Justin also spoke with the students about the many contributions women have made in history and their on-going fight for equal rights. Encouraging the students to dream big and learn more, Jacqui underscored how every individual can make a change, contribute to their community, and can shoot for the stars! |
