| 説明 | Someone phoned me early this morning so I looked out my window to see what the weather was like and as it was really sunny I decided to get a train to Maynooth. When I arrived in the town the weather was still beautiful so I decided to visit the university as I wanted to photograph the old graveyard and it was then that I discovered that my spare batteries were all exhausted. I must admit that I was really annoyed with myself. Because of the exhausted batteries I had to cut my visit short. I got the train back to Connolly with the intention of getting a Luas tram back to my apartment but the service had been suspended because of an incident at Jervis. I like the Luas but every time that I have used the red line service since Christmas there has been an incident or extended delay which is worrying considering that I use the service at least four or five times per week. Maynooth is a university town in north County Kildare, Ireland. It is home to Maynooth University (also known as The National University of Ireland Maynooth) part of the National University of Ireland, a Pontifical University and Ireland's main Roman Catholic seminary, St Patrick's College. Maynooth is also the seat of the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference and holds the headquarters of Ireland's largest development charity, Trócaire. Before the economic crash here in Ireland I visited Maynooth on a regular basis and frequently had a meal there but it is a while since I last visited and this time I got the impression that the town has been badly impacted by the financial crisis. |
