| 説明 | Cadence is modeling this debut dress, another special order fora place we can't talk about. I really enjoyed working out the special details for this one and hope to include them on other dresses in the future.The bodice is worked with a new smocking pattern for me. This is a lattice design, much like the Black Diamonds line, but with a bit of cable stitch worked at each point to form tiny rosette details where the points meet. It was worked in white thread, and then the entire pattern was worked again over the top of the white, offset by half, in a red to match the gingham.The collar and cuffs are contrast white and hand-embroidered with the loop trim I've used before. But this time a red thread was woven around them to give the candy stripe look. Red lazy-daisies with white french-knot centers were added to the collar.A ruffle of white eyelet circles the bottom of the skirt. Like the trim on collar and cuffs, a red thread has been whipped around the edge to tie it in to the design with color. |
