| 説明 | Australia. The Mk I Ford Zephyr was built in the UK from 1951-56. The Consul was the four-cylinder model, the Zephyr and upmarket Zodiac the 6 cyl models.Most Mk I Zephyrs were 4 door Sedans, independent coach builders Carbodies built some convertibles and Abbott, some Estates.The front clip of the 6 cyl Zephyr/Zodiac was 4 inches longer than the 4 cyl Consul. The Mk I Consuls grille was rectangular in shape with vertical bars, the Zephyr, a more elaborate shape with horizontal bars. Top of the line was the Zodiac, introduced in 1953, similar to the Zephyr, but with 2 tone paint, leather seats, a heater, white wall tyres, spot lights and gold badges. The Mk I Consul and Zephyr were also assembled at Ford New Zealand's Seaview factory in Lower Hutt from CKD kits.Engine; 68hp 2262cc 6 cyl (Zodiac; 71hp) |
