| 説明 | Beira ist die zweitgrößte Stadt von Mosambik und wird vor allem durch den Hafen und den damit verbundenen Verkehr und Handel gen/von Sambia, Malawi und v.a. Simbawbe dominiert (der sogenannte "Beira-Korridor"). Bis 1942 regierten nicht etwa die Portugiesen die Stadt (und die Provinz Sofala), sondern die konzessionierte Companhia de Moçambique.Beira is the second largest city of Mozambique. It's dominated by its harbour and the traffic from/to Malawi, Zambia and especially Zimbabwe (the so-called "Beira corridor"). The city (and the province Sofala) was governed by a company, the Companhia de Moçambique, until 1942. |
