| 説明 | The church dates from around 1200 and consists of a western tower, nave, chancel, north transept and vestry.The tower dates from the late 16th century and has an embattled parapet with pinnacles and gargoyles.The tower arch is from circa 1200, and the chancel arch is of a similar date.Near the pulpit there is a 13th century grave cover with a foliated cross.At the end of the 16th century the church was said to be in ruins, and underwent major repairs. The aisles were taken down and nave walls rebuilt in 1776.An extension was built to the north side in 1840, this incorporates a gallery with seating.The chancel was rebuilt in 1904.Internally, the fittings are 19th century or later. |
