| 説明 | This series of photos shows an interesting part of about 2 km of the way between Vals and the Zervreila reservoir. First a tunnel from 1970 with a length of 1800 m, which replaced a parallel course with different tunnels and galleries. In the second part, the historical route, which can still be used today as a hiking trail. Even today's road tunnel can be used by pedestrians, although it is not designated as a hiking trail. If you are delighted in tunnels, you can walk both routes around between two bus stops (Vals, Peilerrank/Vals, Ronastäg).This is the northern portal at 1469 m ü.M./4819 ft ASL. The tunnel has an ascent of 8% towards the south. The width is 3.8 m and the height is 4 m. On one side there is a strip for pedestrians marked with reflectors on the ground. If a large postbus comes it can be tight. But there are always places where you can evade. The vehicles always run in only one direction, which is controlled by traffic lights.
