| 説明 | At the Craters rim, a Hula halau performs a dedication to Volcano Goddess Pele They are preparing for their upcoming performances in the Merrie Monarch festival which starts in a few days. They are wearing Pele's favorite color Red. Pele is the sister of Poliahu the snow goddess of the sacred mountain, and of Hi'iaka the goddess of the Hula. The hula is a sacred experience, not at all like the commercial variety most are familiar with Normally they would be at the place where the eruption plume is right now.. kind of ironicvery long story short: I will try to find a link to post:I rarely take pictures of people so therefore I couldn't figure out what to do with these images..:-)) |
