| 説明 | Members of the Alpini National Association, Vicenza chapter proudly display the Alpini Flag during a Farewell Ceremony for Italian Army Col. Edoardo Maggian, Italian base commander, held on Hoekstra Field, Caserma Ederle Nov. 24. The organization has a long history dating back to 1921 and has earned four Gold Medals for Military Valor; one Gold Medal for Civic Achievement and two Gold Medals for Civic Merit. Members of the association took part in the Greek Campaign from 1940 to 1941 and the Russian Campaign from 1943 to 1944. The Alpini regularly work for the community and help in many different ways.
