| 説明 | Taken for Active Assignment Weekly's "Abandoned" assignment: "Every neighborhood has them, some more than others. I’m talking about the houses, factories, barns, gas stations, sheds etc. that have long since been abandoned and left to rot away. This week I encourage you to go exploring and bring back images of these places to share with us. Feel free to use photo editing software to enhance the mood of your image, if you wish, but no combining multiple images."This place was someone's home, once alive with its own character. Just a block or two from the local high school, I can imagine kids running home after class or playing in the yard. Now the furniture is gone, the walls undecorated. The garden has died, the yard's fenced off, cleaned up - ready for demolition. Seoul's a big city, and growing fast. Apartment buildings appear here almost overnight, often all almost identical. Next time I pass here, maybe one of those cookie-cutter apartment blocks will have appeared. It's a home no more. |
