| 説明 | CAMP ITAMI, Japan - Soldiers from U.S. Army Japan (USARJ) and I Corps invited their Japan Ground Self-Defense Force partners participating in Yama Sakura 69, one of the largest bilateral command post exercises in the Pacific, to discuss the features and benefits of the U.S. Army's resiliency programs Dec. 15, 2015, at Camp Itami, Japan. Army Staff Sgt. Amanda Hess, a master resiliency trainer assigned to USARJ, provided an overview of the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness, Global Assessment Tool, Soldier Fitness Tracker and other initiatives designed to measure and enhance the physical, emotional, social and spiritual strength of Soldiers and their families. Hess' presentation created an open forum where service members from both armies could freely discuss ideas to create healthy habits, cope with stress and maintain a positive attitude. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Eric C. Dostie, command sergeant major, USARJ, and Warrant Officer Akihiro Kanae, command sergeant major, JGSDF Middle Army, also attended the class. Both leaders reminded their troops that resiliency is a continuous practice to prevent negative behavior as the result of stress. The leaders also agreed that their respective armies must share knowledge and resources to conduct an effective resiliency campaign. U.S. Army photo by Sgt. John L. Carkeet IV, U.S. Army Japan |
