| 説明 | Barnes Pond was restored in 2002 and the water system was set up to be natural, unpolluted and kept at an appropriate level. Combined with appropriate plants in and around the pond, and with natural colonisation by many tiny forms of wildlife, this was to be the basis of a 'sustainable' ecosystem. The plants and invertebrates duly established themselves in the water, in turn attracting more wildlife. The ducks and geese could actually find food in the water as well as accepting extra food from local people. |
