| 説明 | Before World War II, Pariser Platz was the grandest square in Berlin. Like much of the city centre, it was heavily damaged during the Battle of Berlin in 1945. Only the Brandenburg Gate stood still on top of the rubble. The Square was in no-man's land after the building of the Berlin Wall, and has become again one of the city's central points after the German reunification. |
