| 説明 | Gilreath’s Mill was built ca. 1814 by Joel Bruce. The two story mill was a corn mill and became a flour mill in 1890 when P.D. Gilreath the High Sherriff of Greenville bought the mill and ran it with his son. During the years the mill was also known as Bruce’s Mill; Taylor’s Mill; and Heller’s Mill. The mill ceased all operation around 1950. The water wheel is separate from the mill and still standing. Was listed on May 28, 1976 in the National Register and is located 4 mi NW of Greer on SC 101 |
