This is one of the few where that happened to me, resulting in folding it three times in a row. I folded them in decreasing sizes and thicknesses. Elephant Hide, of course, is great for a model like this: the final shaping pure pleasure and very fast. I didn't use Saras method from the video to precrease the stars, but folded them on the non-collapsed octagon. The 15 cm version is from a luminous paper, which should glow in the dark. Let's see whether it's possible to take a decent photo of that. The paper was quite expensive (package contains only 5 sheets), so I saved it for a special model like this one. It folded well, feels like Kami with sandpaper on one side. Indeed it made my well used bone folder rough! It was the only of the three, were the tip of the pyramid ripped a bit. Glassine works also well, even though the final shaping was a bit harder. More photos on my stream. |
