| 説明 | I first got to know of Richard Branson when Virgin Records his record label sent me a review copy of Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. I cannot remember the exact date but I think it was 19973 or 1972. However, until today I never met Branson. Anyway he was in Dublin today in order to launch Virgin Media in Ireland [in case you are unaware, UPC is in the process of being rebranded as Virgin Media].In 1992, to keep his airline company afloat, Branson sold the Virgin label to EMI for £500 million. Branson said that he wept when the sale was completed because the record business had been the very start of the Virgin empire. |
