| 説明 | Soldiers from U.S. Army Africa render honors and retire the national colors at the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial outside Florence, Italy on Sept. 11. There are 4,398 headstones of U.S. service members that lost their lives during World War II at the cemetery. U.S. Army Africa conducted a staff ride Sept. 8-11 to provide senior leaders and staff members the opportunity to apply lessons from the Anzio and Cassino campaigns of World War II to current operations and missions throughout the African continent.
