| 説明 | I'll confess, I'm a Special Occasion Orthodox Christian. I only show up at Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, Easter and Christmas. Sometimes I'll double up and diversify. St. Sophia's got out at 9pm, giving me enough time to jet over to Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Potomac MD. I caught the last blessing and announcements, after the ushers stood flabbergasted at my extremely liberal observation of "orthodox" time.St. Sophia's liturgy was done in both English and Greek, which was all Chinese to me. P & P did it in English, but after church I heard quite a lot of Levantine accented Arabic.I thought perhaps our viewers of the Islamic persuasion would appreciate the sight of these artefacts that were prominently displayed on either side of the altar. |
