| 説明 | During my walk along the by-pass road at night, I saw a group of women all dressed in red .I could make out that they were Hindu pilgrims on their way to some favourite temple of Goddess Parasakthi. (Fridays in this Tamil month of Aadi are very auspicious for temple-visits.)Some were sitting down and resting under a tree in the dark.. A few stood near them.I shot their picture and only when I uploaded it in my computer I could see that two of them had thoughfully unfolded and presented to view their placards (when I was setting the flash of my camera).These women had made the placards out of yesteryears' calender- base and decorated them with neem leaves and flowers which are offered to Goddess Parasakthi with religious fervour.I chose the title from John Bunyan's allegorical treatise, "The Pilgrim's Progress". |
