説明Apparently it will change colour over the next few days to match the flower"There are about 2000 species of crab spiders in the world. They are called crab spiders because they look and move like small crabs. They easily move backwards, forwards and sideways. Crab spiders have short, wide, flattened bodies. Most crab spiders have a triangular shaped abdomen and are less than 1 cm in length. Their front two pairs of legs are usually longer and stronger than the others and are held out from the sides of the body just like a crab you would see on the beach. They use these longer legs to catch their prey. Crab spiders do not spin webs to trap their prey, but hunt on the ground and on flowers or leaves of plants.Crab spiders use camouflage. Some resemble tree bark, leaves, or fruits. Some of the flower crab spiders can even change their color over 2-3 days, depending on the color of the flower on which they are resting. They sit very still and ambush the insects that come to the flowers to collect pollen. With a poisonous bite (not dangerous to humans) they kill their prey and suck it dry. They can attack insects much larger than themselves. They even catch bees.Often a small brown male can be seen riding piggyback on the female. After mating, the female lays her eggs in a leaf curled much like an ice cream cone or in a flat egg sac that is fastened to a leaf or twig. She guards her eggs without eating until she dies."FROM www.tburg.k12.ny.us/mcdonald/spid.htm
