| 説明 | The Dwarfs cluster of hot springs and small geysers on Geyser Hill in Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin. (Landsat satellite image provided via Google Earth)This map & these descriptions reflect the nature and activity of The Dwarfs as of mid-August 2015 (the satellite photo was taken in June 2013).North Dwarf Geyser - a low to moderately low, near-perpetual spouter.Orange Dwarf Geyser - the largest and most prominent feature in the Dwarfs; it has an orangish-brown, raised border and acts as a perpetual spouter.South Dwarf Geyser - a small, but moderately well developed vent that may have occasional eruptions (possibly witnessed on the Old Faithful webcam). Not water-filled when observed in mid-August 2015.West Dwarf A - a small spitter.West Dwarf B - an elongated hole along the raised border of Orange Dwarf Geyser. It principally acts as a drain for eruption runoff water from Orange Dwarf, but does have occasional low spitting/very low spouting.West Dwarf C - water-filled and pulsing; does low spitting.West Dwarf D - water-filled and pulsing; does low spitting.West Dwarf E - nearly water-filled.West Dwarfs F through I - possibly empty vents, but not clearly visible from the boardwalk.West Dwarf J - located along the margin of a runoff channel; water filled & gently pulsing. |
