| 説明 | after having not died. Woo!An interesting detail about cliff jumping at Heber: Greers Ferry Lake is huge, really really huge. It's also deep, very very deep. At Heber Springs, the southernmost tip of the lake, it's something like 350 feet deep, so there is a profoundly noticable temperature gradient as you go deeper, with lots of cold upwellings now and then. When you jump, though, you punch entirely through the top warm layer of water and go into the creepily-cold deeper layers, so that as you swim back to the surface you pull up a huge, cold-ass bubble of deep water. It's a nce way to get a few degrees cooler, especially if you fancy a big jump that'll plunge you to a serious, ear-achingly deep level. |
