| 説明 | The sagebrush steppe spanning Soldier Summit SE of Spanish Fork Utah is essentially devoid of Bromus tectorum. Close to Spanish Fork at lower elevation, however, the sagebrush steppe is more degraded and fragmented and is densely colonized by Bromus tectorum. Notably, a few miles up the road, dense stands of Agropyron cristatum (crested wheatgrass) among the sagebrush completely replace Bromus tectorum. This mosaic of sagebrush dominated by either Agropyron cristatum or Bromus tectorum is a common theme in the sagebrush steppe of the Bonneville Basin area of Utah. |
