| 説明 | The two roosting female Mallards seemed to be generally unmindful of our presence, and although the bird at the far end did twitch her neck to look at us briefly, the one nearest camera didn't budge. I was quite thrilled at this close encounter with the birds. The female mallard is predominantly mottled with each individual feather showing sharp contrast from buff to very dark brown, a coloration shared by most female dabbling ducks, and has buff cheeks, eyebrow, throat and neck with a darker crown and eye-stripe.
