| 説明 | Downstream is to the left.Swiftcurrent Creek, just outside of Montana's Glacier National Park, is an excellent example of a braided stream - a coarse-grained sediment-laden stream with multiple intertwining channels and common gravel bars. Braided streams are most common next to mountain belts, as is this locality in Montana. This is immediately downstream of the Boulder Creek-Swiftcurrent Creek confluence. Boulder Creek continues into the background above center. Swiftcurrent Creek comes in from the right, through the vegetation.Locality: Swiftcurrent Creek-Boulder Creek confluence, southern side of Rt. 3, west of the northern end of Lower Saint Mary Lake & east of Lake Sherburne & southeast of Babb, just outside of Glacier National Park, northwestern Glacier County, northwestern Montana, USA (48° 50' 18.91" North, 113° 27' 38.41" West) |
