| 説明 | A Pike County, Ohio historic site:In 1797, the year Eager Inn was built, Zane's Trace was more of a trail than a road. Zane used existing Native American trails wherever possible, cutting down trees to create a primitive path. Prior to Ohio's statehood, (1803} Zane's Trace was not accessible by wagon, so narrow and rough that it was only passable on foot or on horseback. It later became an important stage coach stop.
