| 説明 | Most spectacular scene I've ever witnessed in nearly 25 years of birding, was two days ago, at North Cove, Pacific Co., WA. From 8:30PM-9:00PM a conservative estimate of 30,000+ Sooty Shearwaters, 3000 Heermann's Gull, 1000 California Gulls + others were feeding on some feeder fish (smelt?) right along the shore there. We watched them incredululously for nearly 30 minutes. Shearwaters rarely come to shore. One of the most memorable birding experiences of my life.
