| 説明 | It is amazing how many big screen TV’s are stitched together to make up one huge video screen. These all have to be dismantled individually by the brothers after each convention. What a job.The Toledo, Ohio convention had a very good article in the Toledo Blade newspaper. We were there the week ending July 12, 2015, although there were three conventions held in Toledo. The Seagate Convention Centre was packed in attendance. This convention is just one of many international conventions being held worldwide in 92 different countries, in 347 different languages. These conventions are open to the public and are all free, plus no offering is ever taken. Most people in our demographic believe in Christ Jesus, and the whole convention is themed about following Jesus example and following in his footsteps. Even if people are not interested in Jehovah’s Witnesses, if they attend they are bound to learn something because it all comes from the bible. People that visit for the first time see no animosity, no hatred, and people wonder how we do this. You see a large degree of unity at these conventions, with a mix of all races. It is simple, we take the principles in the Bible, and the convention helps us with examples, video dramas, and symposiums, to understand how to better apply the scriptures in our lives. Our goal is to develop good strong families, plus we help people change their lives to follow Jesus’s footsteps. The theme of these 2015 conventions is, Imitate Jesus. There is a lot to know to perfectly apply this in our lives. Have you ever seen an Elvis impersonator? There are some that can impersonate Elvis Presley so realistically? Then there are those that think they are impersonating Elvis, but we all know they are very bad. Nevertheless, when we imitate Jesus, as humans we are not perfect, so we need reminders to always show Christ-like love to one another. It is this wonderful true bond of love that makes Jehovah’s Witnesses a close worldwide brotherhood, working together. You are welcome to experience this for yourself. |
