説明 | Of all the reasons to be annoyed with the rain, this is a big one.... This is a very cool yama, but because of the rain, the figures were covered up, and the tapestries weren't on. *sigh* Have to get it next year, I suppose....Hashibenkei Yama portrays a very famous Japanese story. In the story, the great warrior Benkei (kind of the Paul Bunyan of Japan, if Paul Bunyan fought in battles and killed people with great zeal) is challenged by a young samurai boy named Ushiwaka-maru. They fight on the Gojo Bridge, which looks nothing like the bridge on the yama. The figure of young Ushiwaka-maru was made over 500 years ago, and bears a startling resemblance to a certain scene in The Matrix.... |
