| 説明 | CAMP ZAMA, Japan - U.S. Army Japan (USARJ) bade Army 1st Sgt. Michael J. Schucker farewell as he brought his military career to a close during a retirement ceremony June 26, 2015, in Camp Zama, Japan. Schucker, who served as the first sergeant for USARJ's band, received the Meritorious Service Medal, a certificate of achievement and a folded American flag in honor of his decades long service to his country. His wife, Aki, also received a certificate of appreciation for her unwavering support for her family and the Army. Army Col. Ivan Montanez, deputy chief of staff, USARJ, summarized Schucker's commitment near the close of the ceremony."Schucker is a true representative of what it means to live by the [Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer], said Montanez.
