| 説明 | Chosen for the August Monthly Scavenger Hunt #2 - "As Seen on TV" - since that's how most Kyoto people watch it. What with the usual factors of the crowd and the heat, plus the torrential rain this year, TV was a much more comfortable venue. Not for your intrepid photographer, though....Kanko Boko is apparantly based on another Chinese story, wherein a powerful lord was able to escape the clutches of his host by way of his retainer's ability to imitate a rooster. Hey, no one ever said the old stories had to make sense. Anyway, this one has a 22 meter tall mast, and more of the beautiful tapestries.... |
