| 説明 | The Fiat Ducato is a commercial van developed by Fiat and PSA (Peugot and Citroen). Introduced in 1981, the Ducato has been very successful, with over 2.6 million sold. Because it is the product of a joint venture, the Ducato comes in multiple forms. Citroen sells the Ducato as the Jumper and Peugot calls their version the Boxer. When the American Chrysler Group became a part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the door was open for some of Fiat's European products to make their way to North America. The Ducato is one of the most recent beneficiaries of this union. For years, Dodge had relied on a rebadged Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as its main commercial van offering, replacing the old outdated Ram Van in 2003. That deal was a product of Chrysler's older relationship with Daimler. With that relationship over and Chrysler now in Fiat's corner, the Dodge Sprinter was no more and the Fiat Ducato (to be sold under Chrysler's Ram brand as the ProMaster) took its place. Ram isn't done importing some of Fiat's European commercial machines to build its own North American lineup: the Ram ProMaster City (a rebadged Fiat Doblo) debuted this year. |
