| 説明 | The final approach to Noble Knob! There is it, straight ahead. But which trail to take? No signs indicate where the three trails go. But it wasn't hard to guess, and you can even see Tara and baby hiking up the middle trail (in large size anyway).Someday I'll take one of the other trails. The left one continues north along Dalles Ridge, past Lake George where there is backcountry camping, and on to Forest Service road 7222. The right fork is the Lost Lake Trail, which goes out on a ridge of Noble Knob, then down to Lost Lake, and beyond to connect with the Greenwater River Trail.See the next photo for the view from the top of Noble Knob.The Norse Peak Wilderness seems a great place to explore -- practically part of Mount Rainier, but not quite, not as popular, and with many possible loop hikes. |
