| 説明 | Today, not only was I the only person in my office building, but I was also just about the only person in town. I was the only customer at the post office and convenience store, and when the UPS guy stopped by the deliver a package to another tenant in my building, which I signed for, he asked, "What contest did you lose?" meaning why was I alone working. My editor was working too, however, far away. For that, we thank our publisher, who got us all the materials late but still insists that we deliver the manuscript on the assigned date. FEH! |
