| 説明 | Last week the urge to roam came to a head and I packed a light bag. I drove up to the Eastern Sierra Nevada to shoot photos. The weather was not the best, but at times the sun would peak through and I got a picture like the one above. It was taken above June Lake just south of Yosemite National Park. In spite of the weather it was just good to get away from the routine. I am lucky in that driving is a pleasure to me and the 'getting there' is as much fun as the 'there'. It was a good 3 days gone and I've got a lot of photos to work on. I wish that all of you will find time to get away from the hustle and bustle and go out into our beautiful land, even if just for a day. As Robert Service wrote in one of his poems: It’s the great, big, broad land ’way up yonder, It’s the forests where silence has lease; It’s the beauty that thrills me with wonder, It’s the stillness that fills me with peace. |
