説明 | I liked the method the Malay use to roof the Kelongs, and I wanted to share. I picked this section of the roof because it was damaged by wind, and you can see the innards (you can also see my friends playing Majong in the background).The roof is constructed by folding strips of palm fronds around pieces of bamboo, which are layerd and tied to the roof-frame, and an old fishing net is thrown over the top. This covering works very well, it rained quite hard while I was there, with minimal leakage. |
