| 説明 | Merri Creek Management Committee organised a planting day on top of the Fawkner bank of the Merri Creek at the end of Lorne and Sahara Streets. Rain had moved in overnight to soak the ground, and was still falling at 11am. But there was still a good number of people who turned up for the planting. It was mostly a variety of native grasses that were being planted. There have been recent planting of eucalypt trees beside the Merri Creek bike path here which should make riding very pleasant once they grow into mature trees. The rain let up for a while, and we even saw some sunshine. The planting was followed by a barbecue. |
