| 説明 | Parc de Montsouris | Boulevard JourdanLucien Paye Residence was inaugurated under the name House of France d'Outre-Mer. Its original purpose was to welcome in Paris students from overseas French territories. After the independence of former colonies, the residence was dedicated to nationals of Black Africa countries. In 1972, it was renamed after Lucien Paye, Minister of Education in 1961 and former senior official of France in Senegal who played an important role in the creation of African universities.Arch. Jean Vernon, Bruno Philippe and Albert Laprade1951.Several artists have collaborated in the creation of the house: Pierre Meauzé, who made the carved pillars from the entrance, Anna Quinquaud, author of the bas-reliefs of the façade, and Roger Bezombes who signed the monumental tapestries hall, executed in the workshops of Aubusson. |
