| 説明 | Chadian army 2nd Lt. Mbainabe Tei Etienne, chief anesthetist at the Military Teaching Hospital in N’Djamena, Chad, administers a spinal anesthetic to a patient undergoing surgery April 13 at the facility. The patient is a Chadian soldier who suffered a gunshot wound to the lower left leg that fractured his tibia. Chadian military doctors performed a procedure to repair the fracture as a team of U.S. Army medical professionals observed. The U.S. team came to Chad to participate in Medical Readiness and Training Exercise 15-3 known as MEDRETE 15-3. The exercise is a joint effort between the Chadian government, U.S. Army Africa, the Army Reserve Medical Command, and the 7th Civil Support Command; and it serves as an opportunity for U.S. and Chadian forces to hone and strengthen their life saving skills as well as reinforce the partnership between both countries.
