| 説明 | I'm not a poet, and if you read what follows, you may agree :-) Still, I was moved to start this the night before this photo was taken (June 06). I finished it a month later--I remember because it was the 4th of July, but I've never posted it before now (March 07). It's an account of the ride home back to Sydenham where I was staying after spending time with Monica.I think this girl is pretty amazing. She befriended me at a time I was feeling down. We spent the afternoon and evening talking mostly, in a wild London pub just after England won their first game of the World Cup. I convinced her to come with me to meet another friend and ride on the Eye--we already had the tickets. Later we all had some dinner, and after that (but not much later b/c everything closes so early in the UK, including the trains! :D), just the two of us moved on to Trafalgar Square, which I must say I didn't observe too well b/c I was mostly focused on her lips :-) ... Ahhh, what a time. I did make it on the last train back to Sydenham, and I managed to wake up early enough the following morning to make the train back to Camden Town where I met her for the second and final time. Her flight back to Luxembourg (she's from Barcalona but lives in Lux) was later that afternoon. This photo was taken at the Camden Barfly during the performance of suzyHOPE (soon-to-be-famous local musicians).You spend a total of maybe six or seven hours with a person (no, not in the way your dirty mind is wandering off to :D), and you draw such an awesome energy--connect on a level that you haven't with anyone else in a long time, or ever. We would have dated had it not been for the ocean separating us.
