| 説明 | The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT), which spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada, offers access to the monument’s rugged backcountry. As the trail meanders through wildflower strewn meadows, old growth forests, and juniper covered hillsides, hikers and horseback riders can explore the unique and diverse ecosystems of the monument. The trail provides access to Pilot Rock, Hobart Bluff, Soda Mountain, and other monumental attractions, while providing scenic views of Agate Flat, the Soda Mountain Wilderness Study Area, and Mount Shasta.The easiest place to access the PCT in the monument is at the Greensprings Summit. From I-5, take exit 14 near Ashland and turn on Highway 66 toward Klamath Falls. Take Hwy 66 for 17 miles to the Greensprings Summit. A trailhead and parking area are located at the summit. From there, follow the PCT 6 miles north to Hyatt Reservoir or south to Soda Mountain, Hobart Bluff, and Pilot Rock (12 miles).The PCT is open to hiking and stock use only. Motorized and mechanized vehicles such as bicycles, game carriers, motorcycles, and OHVs must stay on designated roads within the monument.Scattered parcels of private land are interspersed with monument lands and at times the PCT passes through private lands with permission of the land owners.
