| 説明 | The boy whose face you don't quite see is having a performance in the near future.Nitin M told me he plans to conduct a 'tithi', or death rite for his degree certificates the day he gets them.This performance will be in the campus of Chitrakala Parishath, above the buried ex-studio where he and his friends once sculpted.The idea is to draw attention to the ridiculousness of the examination system as a way of asessing students in an Art institution.Art Insititutions like the College Of Fine Art where both Nitin and I come from teach art in the long gone Eurpoean Academic realist style.So in order to get a degree called a Bachelor's in Fine Art, you need to sit for an exam which asesses you on how well you can perform on that sheet of paper in the alotted time. |
