| 説明 | Calgary MLA Dr. David Swann shared music and song in the early morning hours for the small group of people taking part in the overnight portion of a 24 hour vigil and rally for victims of the Darfur crisis in Sudan. As part of the two day rally, and in solidarity with the people of Sudan affectected by the actions of the Sudanese government and militias, Dr. David Swann fasted for 24 hours and invited folks to camp the night in front of the Harry Hays federal building in downtown Calgary.The event, which had an good turnout, by Alberta standards, of 80-120 people on each of two different days received favorable media coverage in both local dailies and on the television networks. |
