| 説明 | This flourmill in Tanunda was one of the early mills in SA. By 1850 Edmud Davey, who went on to own a chain of flourmills in SA and NSW worked in this Tanunda Mill. Davey and his sons later owned mills in Truro, Daveyston, Angaston, Nairne, Eudunda, Port Adelaide, Salisbury etc. Davey was one of the first to introduced roller flourmills to replace steam driven flourmills which he did in 1885.The earliest roller mills in SA were in 1884. |
