| 説明 | People talk about the aerodynamics benefit of leg shaving. I decided to empirically determine the truth. My left leg, as you can see, is shaved. My right leg is not. After this, I went to a large, empty parking lot with my bike then went as fast as I could while holding the handlebars straight. Theoretically, the decreased wind resistance on my left side will make the left side of the bike go faster. Because of the Bernoulli Principle, the increased wind speed on the left side results in increased lift toward the left, meaning my bike will veer to the left. To make sure this was a completely blind experiment, I rode with my eyes closed. Predictably, the result of this experiment was severe road rash on my legs and arms as well as a broken nose. I hit the pavement pretty hard with my face but I didn't lose any teeth. Good thing I was wearing a helmet to mitigate my stupidity!Wouldn't it be cool to put a little goatee under each kneecap? |
