| 説明 | Lot of terms have been used to describe the Heiropolis like the spa city, city of pleasure, holy city etc. But a large portion of the 1.7km long city is also part of a necropolis. A necropolis is a large ancient cemetery with elaborate tomb monuments. The word derives from the Ancient Greek νεκρόπολις nekropolis, literally meaning "city of the dead". The term implies a separate burial site at a distance from a city as opposed to tombs within cities, which were common in various places and periods of history.
