| 説明 | A Monarch Butterfly Danaus plexippus male (females do not have the black spots on the wings near the end of the abdomen...) rests on a plant in the Coyote Hills Regional Park's Nectar Garden, outside Newark, CA. Taken by a Nikon D610 at ISO 400 with a Micro-Nikkor 200mm ƒ 4 lens. Camera's on-board flash fired for fill.Above shot is roughly 3-4 x life-size (about ½ life-size on the film plane - I was too busy in the viewfinder to check the scale on the lens...This specimen has been sampled by some predator, as the rough edge of the right rear wing testifies... |
